How to navigate the expo

One of the favorites from the official merchandise collection.

If you haven’t heard, the expo at the Baltimore Running Festival is, well, like a candy store for runners. You’ll find local and national vendors carrying everything from running shoes and clothing to sports nutrition products to rehab products and everything in between. You want to make sure to hit the Corrigan Sports booth, where you’ll find all the official running festival gear on sale–lots of great items if you haven’t seen the previews yet on the Facebook page! You’ll undoubtedly leave the expo with your wallet a little lighter and your swag bag a little heavier.

But the expo is also where you pick up your packet and race shirt, so there are a few things you should know about it before heading into the convention center. Basically, you can break the expo down into three steps:

1. E-registration card–You should have received this yesterday via email. If for some reason you don’t have this card, email and we will follow up with an email on how to retrieve it. You must have this card with you in order to get your bib! You can pick up a friend’s packet (limit one besides your own) if you have the other runner’s printed E-registration card and a copy of the other runner’s photo ID. IDs are not required for Kids Fun Run bibs, but you’ll still need their printed E-registration.

Relay teams–Can count as one packet. One runner from each team can pick up for all members of the team as long as they have all printed E-registrations and photo IDs.

Final note–we are once again offering a green option for this year. You can show your E-registration on your smart phone, iPad or other electronic device. Please have the screen that shows your bib number pulled up prior to entering the Expo hall in order to keep things moving smoothly for your fellow runners. Make sure it’s the bib number screen and not the email.

2. Your E-registration card allows you to pick up your bib and other items. With these in hand…

3. After turning in your E-registration card and getting your bib, head on over to the race shirt table and your Under Armour shirt (I am loving the colors this year, by the way!). If you are unhappy with the way your shirt fits you, utilize the shirt exchange bin located near where volunteers will be handing out shirts. Volunteers have to hand you the shirt size that is on your E-registration card. It is the runner’s responsibility to utilize the change at the Expo. This is the only opportunity this is available. CSE will not mail shirts after the event.

As a security measure for race day, runners who want to utilize bag check must use the clear bags that will be handed out in the lobby at the Expo.

If you missed it on Monday, go here to find more details on race-day/week logistics. The expo runs from noon to 8 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 10, and from noon to 9 p.m. on Friday, October 11.

Check back in on Friday for a quick primer on how to dress for the latest weather conditions and other final, race-day tips!

  1. The link for locating your e-registration card has a typo. It should read

If you click the link in article, your request will be returned with an “invalid email address”.

Many thanks for catching that, Patrick! We have fixed it.
